Role Overview
As a Public Affairs Officer, you will:
- Support the public affairs function of the Trust.
- Build strong relationships and identify opportunities to influence key stakeholders.
- Raise awareness and enhance understanding of the Trust’s work among a broad audience.
This role is perfect for students, undergraduates, or graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in public affairs, with a background or interest in the Trust’s focus areas.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a highly motivated individual with:
- Strong influencing skills and experience in public affairs or related sectors.
- A keen understanding of the UK’s political landscape and government processes.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to support grantees effectively.
You’ll work within a small, hybrid team based in London and Edinburgh, with occasional UK travel.
What You’ll Get

- Flexible part-time hours (21 hours per week, over three or four days).
- A salary of £23,221 (£38,702 FTE) with a transparent pay scale.
- 40 days of annual leave (pro rata, including bank holidays).
