- Wealth Management Apprentice – Gain experience in managing high-net-worth client portfolios, assisting with investment recommendations, and supporting financial planning.
- Finance Apprentice – Horsham – Work across finance teams, learning about accounting, financial reporting, and supplier management while developing critical financial skills.
Wealth Management Apprentice
Apprenticeship Level: 4 IDA Investment Advice Diploma
Department: Wealth Management – Cazenove Capital
Salary: £25,500 per annum + benefits

Programme Overview:
Schroders’ two-year apprenticeship programme offers school and college leavers hands-on experience in investment management, helping them develop key skills, gain professional qualifications, and build industry networks. This opportunity is ideal for those who are ambitious, eager to learn, and considering an alternative to university.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Portfolio Managers in managing client portfolios and ensuring compliance.
- Serve as a client contact, handling inquiries and maintaining records.
- Assist in client meetings, investment recommendations, and portfolio reviews.
- Execute trades and contribute to investment strategy discussions.
- Help prepare financial reports and investment proposals.
- Participate in fund manager meetings and market insights sessions.

Who We’re Looking For:
- Recent school or college graduates with A-Levels or BTECs.
- Individuals considering alternatives to university.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Entry Requirements:
- A-Levels (or equivalent) in any subjects (no minimum UCAS points required).
- GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade A-C in English and Maths*.
- Any customer service or finance-related experience is beneficial but not essential.

Finance Apprentice – Horsham

The Role & Teams:
As part of the Finance Apprenticeship Programme, you will rotate between two key finance teams based in Horsham:
- Wealth Service Centre Accounting Team:
- Supports financial reporting for Wealth Management subsidiaries.
- Handles accounting, financial controls, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assists in statutory financial statements and ad-hoc business requests.
- Purchasing, Payables & Reconciliations Service Centre:
- Manages supplier payments, cash flows, and invoice processing.
- Supports accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets management.
- Ensures transactions align with supplier payment terms and reconciliations.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and post accounting entries to support financial reporting.
- Perform daily financial controls and reconciliations.
- Manage supplier setups, cashflows, and invoice approvals.
- Support statutory reporting, balance sheets, and ad-hoc projects.
- Participate in Investment20/20 networking, training, and industry events.
