Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Officer to join our team at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). As a Regulatory Affairs Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization complies with regulatory requirements related to the safety, efficacy, and quality of food, drugs, cosmetics, and medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of local and international regulations governing the production, distribution, and marketing of food, drugs, cosmetics, and medical devices. Ensure the organization's adherence to these regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare and submit regulatory documents to relevant authorities, including product registration dossiers, labeling, and packaging information.
- Communication: Liaise with regulatory agencies to address queries, obtain approvals, and ensure timely communication of regulatory changes to internal stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet regulatory standards. Participate in the development of quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments on products and processes to identify potential regulatory issues and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Training: Provide training to internal teams on regulatory requirements and updates. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in regulatory affairs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's or PhD) is a plus.
- Proven experience in regulatory affairs within the pharmaceutical, food, or healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
