UNICEF is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Program Officer in the Child Protection department. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and monitoring initiatives aimed at ensuring the well-being and protection of children in vulnerable situations. Responsibilities
- Program Development: Lead the design and development of child protection programs in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Implementation: Oversee the effective implementation of child protection initiatives, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's goals and objectives.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and protection of children at national and international levels, collaborating with government agencies, NGOs, and other partners.
- Capacity Building: Provide training and support to partners and stakeholders to enhance their capacity in implementing child protection programs.
- Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of global trends and research in child protection, contributing to evidence-based decision-making.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on program activities, outcomes, and impact for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in Social Work, International Development, Human Rights, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in child protection programs, preferably with an international organization.
- Skills: Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills. Familiarity with child protection policies and frameworks.
- Languages: Proficiency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
