Description
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Electrical Engineer as part of the NERC Recruitment 2023/2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and security of the nation's electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of electrical systems to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement strategies for enhancing the reliability and security of the power grid.
- Monitor and analyze real-time data to detect anomalies and respond promptly to emergencies or disruptions in the electrical system.
- Ensure compliance with NERC standards and guidelines, keeping abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes.
- Contribute to the development and execution of training programs for industry professionals to enhance their understanding of electrical system reliability.
- Participate in investigations and root cause analyses of power system events or disturbances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in electrical system design, operation, or maintenance.
- Familiarity with NERC standards and guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
