Description
The Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria (IHVN), a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and control of diseases of public health importance in Nigeria, is currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Program Manager, Health Systems Strengthening. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to the organization's mission of improving the health and well-being of Nigerians through innovative and sustainable healthcare solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of health systems strengthening programs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government agencies and development partners, to ensure alignment with national health priorities.
- Provide technical expertise in designing and implementing interventions aimed at improving healthcare delivery and infrastructure.
- Oversee the development and execution of capacity-building initiatives for healthcare personnel.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring effective and efficient utilization of resources.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure the impact and effectiveness of health systems strengthening initiatives.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to funding agencies and IHVN management.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field. A medical degree with additional management qualifications is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in managing health systems strengthening programs.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and evaluating health interventions in a resource-constrained setting.
- Strong knowledge of Nigeria's health system and familiarity with global health best practices.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
