Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join the team at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects aimed at promoting sustainable development in the Niger Delta region. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of projects, meeting deadlines, and achieving set objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing issues to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and integration of project components.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Foster positive working relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate project success.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, promoting a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, etc.).
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the development sector.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the Niger Delta region's socio-economic and environmental context is an advantage.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Relevant professional certifications in project management will be a plus.
