Netflix is seeking a dynamic and experienced Content Acquisition Manager to join our team in Nigeria. As the Content Acquisition Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and acquiring high-quality content to enhance our streaming platform's offerings in the Nigerian market. This role requires a deep understanding of the local entertainment landscape, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional content to our subscribers.
Responsibilities
- Content Strategy: Develop and execute content acquisition strategies aligned with Netflix's objectives for the Nigerian market.
- Negotiation: Negotiate licensing agreements with content providers, ensuring favorable terms for Netflix and securing a diverse and compelling content library.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and audience preferences to inform content acquisition decisions.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with content providers, production houses, and industry stakeholders.
- Content Evaluation: Assess the quality, relevance, and potential audience appeal of content proposals, ensuring they align with Netflix's content standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless integration of acquired content into the Netflix platform.
- Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, review, and execution of content licensing agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor the performance of acquired content, analyze viewership data, and provide insights to optimize future content acquisition strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Media Studies, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in content acquisition or a related field, with a deep understanding of the Nigerian entertainment industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successful deal closures.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with digital streaming platforms and the evolving landscape of the entertainment industry.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
