Description

The Nigerian Prisons Service Recruitment (NPS) is currently seeking qualified and dynamic individuals to join its ranks through the 2023/2024 recruitment process. As a member of the NPS team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining security, facilitating rehabilitation, and ensuring the welfare of inmates within the Nigerian prison system. This is an opportunity to contribute to public safety and make a positive impact on the criminal justice system.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain order and security within the prison facility.
  • Supervise and manage inmates' daily activities, including work assignments and rehabilitation programs.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with prison regulations.
  • Assist in the implementation of educational and vocational programs for inmates.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain a calm and controlled environment.
  • Collaborate with other prison staff to address the needs of inmates and maintain a rehabilitative environment.
  • Document and report incidents, maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications
  • Nigerian citizenship.
  • Minimum educational qualification of a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Not less than 18 years old or more than 30 years old.
  • No criminal record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and handle stressful situations.
