We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Nuclear Safeguards Inspector. As a key member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and secure use of nuclear technology worldwide. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections of nuclear facilities to verify compliance with international safeguards agreements.
  • Analyze and assess nuclear material accounting records and reports provided by inspected facilities.
  • Collaborate with national authorities, facility operators, and other stakeholders to address and resolve safeguards-related issues.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on nuclear safeguards and non-proliferation matters.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new safeguards measures and technologies.
  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and contribute to the overall assessment of safeguards implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in nuclear engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear safeguards, non-proliferation, or a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of international safeguards agreements and nuclear security concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to conduct on-site inspections.
